Since 1985, customer satisfaction has been our number one priority.  It has to be -- most of our business comes from repeat customers and word-of-mouth referrals.  Through the years, we have maintained our exceptional level of customer satisfaction through direct supervision and inspection by the owner, Heath Schuman, and our highly detailed and experienced supervisors.

We have grown quite a bit since we started, but our commitment to quality work is still our primary focus.   For many years, we have "tagged" boats after completing the work to let owners know we were there and what work was performed.  Before leaving the tag, the specified work and boat were inspected by a supervisor.  Our greatest selling point was the fact that Heath was personally inspecting most (if not all) the boats.

With growth comes some challenges.  The greatest concern of many customers is that Heath can no longer inspect every boat.  We have come up with a great substitute...

We have expanded and formalized our inspection process.  We have created a two-copy form that will be utilized by all our supervisors.
This comprehensive checklist ensures we are looking for all the "little details" that at times may be overlooked but have always been a priority for Heath.

Once a boat has been inspected, the supervisor will sign and date the form including the time the boat was reviewed.  The time and date stamp provides several vital functions:  1) The owner or dealership knows exactly when the boat was completed and we were on the boat.  2)  Frequently, other contractors perform work on boats between the time we complete a detail and the owner arrives.  Too often, the boat is left far from the pristine condition we left it in.  3)  Occasionally damage or vandalism occurs in marinas.  Knowing exactly when we were on the boat can help provide valuable time frame references.

With a copy of the inspection report in our office and one left on the boat for the customer, everyone is 100% assured that the boat was inspected and LOOKING GREAT on the date we were there.

This process is just one more way we are "Handling the Details".  We are, after all, the Professional Detailing Company!
